Care and share since 2000

A loving home for those with nowhere else to turn

Caring for the mentally ill, the elderly and the poorest of the poor in Nedumkunnam, Kerala.

Clergy, a sister and volunteers pray together before the morning breakfast service at Vandanam.

Who we are

One human family, called to care for each other

We began with a ten-bed ward in 2000. Today, each of our institutions is a home away from home for people who have nowhere else to go.

Our founder

A legacy of care that began in 1977

Fr. Antony Mannarkulam founded the Sanjeevani Rehabilitation Centre in 1992, the first psychosocial rehabilitation centre of its kind in Kerala. Mother Teresa Home grew from the same calling in 2000.

Meet our leadership
Rev. Fr. Dr. Antony Mannarkulam, founder of Caring Hands Mother Teresa Home

“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”
